1. Origin Of God’s Word.
The Bible refers to itself as—The Word Of God.
Rom.10:17; Ephes.6:17; 1Thess.2:13; 1Pet.1:23; Revel.19:13
Jesus is the written Word revealed.
Psalms 107:20; Psalms 119:89; Matt.4:4
Jesus is the living Word manifested. John 1:1; John 1:14
2. Operation Of The Word Of God.
After giving us the Origin of the Word—
Then, Heb.4:12 gives us some characteristics or attributes of the Word that tells us how the Word operates,
a. The Word Is Alive..
“For the Word of God is quick”.. *Jn.6:63 *Acts 7:38
b. The Word is anointed..
“For the Word of God is quick and powerful”..
c. The Word Is Our Armor.
“For the Word of God is quick and powerful
and sharper than any two-edged sword”..
There are several metaphors of the Bible.
Here is referred to a Sword.
The Word is also referred to a Mirror that reveals. James 1:23
The Word is referred to as Water that cleanses.
The Word is referred as a Seed that reproduces.1Pet.1:23
The Word is referred to as Milk that nourishes.1Pet.2:2
The Word is referred to a Lamp that shines. Psalms 119:105
The Word is referred to a Fire that consumes. Jerem.23:29
The Word is referred to as a Hammer that Shatters. Jerem.23:29
Let the Word work in you, watch what it does.
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow,
The Word will get in you & transform your life.
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
This book lets you know who you really are.
The key word is “and”..
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow,

3. Open The Word Of God. (v.13)
This deals with the Omniscience of God.
That is to whom we must give an account to.
